At the Stockholm motor show today, Saab took the wraps off its BioPower Hybrid concept, a 9-3 convertible powered by a turbocharged, flexfuel-capable gas-electric hyrbrid-drive drivetrain/UNIVAC computer/Flux Capacitor/Maytag dryer. The BioPower powertrain uses electric motors to provide a kind of hyperspace torque-boost of up to a devilish 666Nm (491 lbs.-ft.); that's when the electric motors fire up to drive the rear wheels, making the cabrio de-facto all-wheel drive.
