Mitsubishi's planning to show America its redesigned 2007 Outlander — the same one it unveiled at the Tokyo motor show last year (minus the right-hand drive and penchant for outlandish game shows). The new model, which will appear at the New York auto show next month, gets a new 3.0L V6 MIVEC engine and standard six-speed Sportronic autobox (with paddle shifters on the XLS model). It'll also get a standard Bluetooth phone interface, some kind of "advanced" key fob, and options like a 650-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system with DVD and a new hard-drive navigation system. Dare we say Mitsubishi may have some fight left in it?
