Geneva Wrap-up: The Loremo LS Concept

Europeans may soon see a new, highly efficient runabout that's as stylish as a Swedish end-table and is as aerodynamically acute as a Trident missle, and gets 157 miles per gallon of diesel. That production car would be based on the LS concept from Bavaria's Loremo AG, an oddly reminiscent 2+2 coupe that's powered by a 1.5-liter, two cylinder oil burner that produces 20hp (not a typo). It's no runner, this, with zero-to-sixty times in the whoops-I-just-got-run-over-by-a-logging-truck range of 20 seconds, but it can reportedly hit 99 mph, an eventuality best measured in glacial periods. Still, at a price of under 10,000 quid (don't bother doing the currency exchange), it's a car of the people (as slow as people, more like) that's insanely great on gas.
