    DCX: Mercedes-Benz Sales Up, Smart Sales in Toilet

    Oh, the quandaries that must be spinnin' in the heads of the DCXers at the moment. M-B managed to bootstrap its sales up by 16%, helped by the redesigned M and S-Classes, as well as the intro of the B and R-Class machines. But all ain't rosy. Smart is wallowing in the mire, with only 7,700 sales for the quarter. We love the fact that in the Reuters article, the teensy-car marque's referred to as the company's "loss-making Smart brand" because, you know, making a loss is always better than just hemorhagging cash.
