Look outside for locusts, rivers running with blood, frogs falling from the sky and the like. BMW today released factory-fresh details on its new, turbocharged engine — the company's first turbine in two decades. The 3.0-liter N54 biturbo will be ready for its closeup by the Geneva show, before coming to market athwart the 2007 BMW 335i and 335ci — all 306 horsepower (295 lbs.-ft of torque) of it. BMW says the deep-breathing sixer has no turbo lag, due to its smaller turbines. No word on a US release yet, but all four horsemen say it's likely.
