Viva El Finesse! Lexus unveiled its redesigned ES350 this morning here in Chicago, and it's a vast improvement over the current model we once referred to as the "Kojak" (apropos to the nondescript Buick sedan in which the bald detective rode). The company's L-Finesse design language looks good on the entry-luxury sedan, which also gets a a version of Toyota's new, low-emissions 3.5-liter V6 producing 272hp and 254 lb.-ft of torque. A novel, full-length glass roof opens in the front and acts as a moonroof in the rear. Lexus's symbol for the model is a mechanical flower — a bit of marketing-department imagineering that goes down much better with free coffee.
