Just as expected, Europe's new Opel GT will be a badge-engineered Saturn Sky (and nothing like the Opel GT "mini vette" that once prowled the Pinto-studded streets of the early 1970s). That's good news for the workers at the Wilmington, Delaware plant where it'll be built, but bad news for those who think GM should, well, put a cork in it already. Like the new Solstice GXP with which it shares an endoskeleton, the Opie will get GM's new 2.0-liter turbocharged direct-injection Ecotec mill, producing 260 hp. Geneva is where it all goes down, hopefully in a good way.
