To this day, my dad and I like to think that cars talk to each other and have personalities. We're weird, but we're not the only people weird about cars. Apparently one quarter of car owners assign a name to their prized possession.
While I do believe that cars have discussions with each other, I've never given my Miata a proper name. But the young people, they like naming their cars and a full 36 percent of them do it.
Women are more likely to name their cars than men, but men are more likely to name their cars after a historical figure or movie character. Weirdly, more women than men name their cars with a female name.
I'd name my car after a girl, or call it El Diablo, one or the other. That's if I were to name it. Which I'm not.
