Although they've put plans for Russian manufacture on hold, Mercedes-Benz has begun taking orders for Chinese-built E-Classes in the Mao's backyard yesterday, the same day the cars began rolling off the assembly line in Beijing's Yizhuang district. The first models to be produced are the E200k and the E280. The 280 will sell for $76,770, while the 200k comes in at $65,000. Hello, spendy! No word yet if other E-Class variants will follow.
