Ford Unveils GTX1 Concept at SEMA

Like lots of concept cars, the Ford GTX1 started as a napkin sketch. Actually, according to the press release from Ford, it was a placemat and the sketcher was Kip Ewing, a Ford Special Vehicle Team (SVT) engineering boss inspired by the 1966 Ford GTX1 roadster that won at Sebring. Ford contracted Genaddi Design, a Wisconsin coachbuilder experienced in decapitating expensive cars to build the Valencia Yellow and Tungsten Silver concept. In typical SEMA fashion, it's been fitted with a high-output aftermarket stereo system. No word on production yet.
