Named after a North African wind that buffetted the Mediterranean coast, VW's Scirocco is mos def a cult car par excellance. Crisp Giugiaro styling, light weight, and adequate power made the Scirocco somewhat the German equivalent of Honda's later, stubbier CRX. There's still a legion of hardcores out there who worship at the car's altar, and we've gotta admit, with a full-race body kit, it gives Audi's Coup a run for its money in the sex appeal department. In a blocky, West German, early-'80s kinda way, at least.
