It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks; it was a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. So what is it? A 1974 Dodge Monaco, of course. With the Bullitt Mustang and the Bandit's Trans Am, the Bluesmobile stands as a member of the Triumvirate of Filmic Car Chase Icons. And yes, we just made that up. Has a nice ring, tho, eh? Ah, if the policemen of Mt. Prospect, IL only knew what they'd given up. After all, all it needed was a new cigarette lighter.
