Lotus is expected to revive the Excel (pictured) or Elite model name to pin on a new 2+2 coupe. According to Edmunds Inside Line, the Proton-owned company is already testing the model — which will be positioned between the Elise/Exige and the redesigned 2007 Esprit — in England. Expectations include a Lotus-tuned, Toyota-sourced V6 — either the Camry's 210hp, 3.0 liter or, more likely, the 300hp, 3.5-liter powerplant of the new Lexus IS 350 — set midship, and a $70,000 price tag. And yes, it'll be coming to the states — by way of next year's Geneva show.
