Toyota's Okuda Is Serious About Raising Prices to Aid US Automakers

Toyota head, Hiroshi Okuda, again said the company would consider increasing its prices to assist ailing US carmakers. Speaking not as the CEO of the world's second-largest car company, but as a powerful member of the Japanese business community and an all-around nice guy, Okuda said the collapse of the US auto industry would damage US-Japan relations. Yikes. Good for earnings, bad for egos.
