Volkswagen continues to tease us like the self-hating louts we are, releasing another teaspoon's worth of details on its yet-unnamed convertible. Based on the company's Concept C shown at the 2004 Geneva motor show, the new cabrio, as AutoWeek reports, will ride on a "stretched version of the Golf's PQ35 platform," which is likely the Passat's PQ46 platform. Around 45,000 of the ragtops will be produced for the US market, and 27,000 for Europe, with May 2006 targeted for a US release.
