Electric vehicle owners are often a twisted bunch. To attract attention to their cause, they often come up with insane ideas and then somehow make them work. This Karmann Ghia employs three electric motors cranking out over 1000 lb. ft. of torque, a tube frame, a Lenco trans, a full-race Strange rear end, and big freakin' slicks out back. No word on quarter-mile times yet as it's still under construction, but the thing should be a blast to watch. Will the smell of ozone someday replace the odor of nitromethane as the ultimate dragstrip inhalant?
