    Peugeot Announces Design Competition Winner

No, you're not looking at a cute-but-deadly Japanese anime character, next year's Hoover vacuum, or a rejected design for one of Tommy Lee's kick drums circa 1989; it's Moovie — a concept car for urban use recently declared winner of the 3rd Peugeot Design Competition, 2004-2005. Moovie, an electric-powered car designed by Andr Costa, 23, of Portugal, employs two large wheels riding on hollow rims, which can rotate at different speeds to facilitate 360 turns. We're not quite sure if it's workable, but it definitely stretches the notion of what urban transport, or household appliances, will be like in 2020. Don't miss Moovie in all its full-scale glory at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show. [Thanks to Theo for the tip.]
