    DaimlerChrysler s most substantial all-terrain vehicle, the Mercedes G-Class (notwithstanding the all-terrine M-Class), will lose its jack in the box comportment and gain the more arciform shape of its Mercedes stablemates. Formerly the truck of choice for paramilitaries, Jungfrau-Region ski patrols and expat Japanese salarymen from Scarsdale, the new G has a shape that's much more soccer-mom friendly. Goodbye Gelandewagen, hello Grand Cherokee.
