Nissan Delays New Sentra: Focus Groups Hated New Design

A decisive move by Nissan's CEO may have prevented an ugly and/or tedious new Sentra from turning motorists to stone in 2005. Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn delayed the new Sentra's launch after consumer groups apparently considered the redesigned model an automotive equivalent of "Christmas with the Kranks," without the seasonal charm. The company is in the process of re-redesigning a new-new Sentra, which will be unveiled sometime in 2006, probably just in time for "Christmas with the Kranks II: God Rest Ye Gerry Mentleman."
