Cizeta Moroder V16: Custom-Made Supercar

Quick, name an American-made supercar co-named after a Disco producer and pioneer of electronica. No, not the Jellybean Benitez GT, it's the Cizeta Moroder V16. Producer Giorgio bankrolled the venture, which is being spearheaded by ex-Lamborghini engineer Claudio Zampolli. The 560hp Cizeta is a totally custom work costing in the neighborhood of seven-figures. It's an exclusive neighborhood, to be sure. First shown at the 1988 Geneva auto show, only nine Cizetas were delivered from 1991 to 1994, including one to the Sultan of Brunei. The project was revived recently, and the first new delivery, to a Japanese customer, will be followed by a second convertible. Call it just-in-time automotive production, measured in dog years.
