BMW is offering a collection of Miniature vehicles representing the collection of full-sized "Art Car" BMWs created since the mid-1970s. BMW's art car history began in 1975, when racer Herve Poulain commissioned artist Alexander Calder to create an original work on the BMW 3.0 CSL he would eventually race in 24 Hours of LeMans that year. Since then, BMWs were treated as rolling canvases by many notable artists, including Andy Warhol, Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauchenberg and David Hockney.
