The buzz about Mazda introducing a Mazdaspeed factory-tuned RX-8 has been circulating like mad for months now. The gang at AutoWeek recently road tested something called the Mazdaspeed Mazda RX-8, but disclaims the car's authenticity as a true Mazdaspeed model. The car in question sports bolt-on Mazdaspeed cosmetic and suspension upgrade equipment — it's not a full-blown Mazdaspeed edition, like the Mazdaspeed Miata, for example. Whatever. It's not the car we've been waiting for, but any news on factory-modded RX-8s is good news.
