We're kind of excited about Pontiac's new LS4 motor, if somewhat underthrilled with the package in which it'll be packed. We've always thought the latest Grand Prix body style is kind of gawky, but considering the GXP will be getting with Pontiac's torquey new 5.3 liter, 300hp, twin-cam V8, we actually had a daydream of heading out to the nearest airport service road in the GXP to take on some jarheaded tuner kids. That is, until we pictured the car's front end spinning off its axis like a drunken gyroscope. We can't imagine how 300 foot/pounds of torque acting on the front wheels will play out in traffic. We hope Pontiac has some serious voodoo control systems to keep the lead-footed from doing doughnuts on the interstate. If not, call me a cab.
