Back then, only Arab shieks and American action heros needed three-ton, turret-mounted, 180 mph Italian street-rod SUVs (Cayenne? Porsche, please). Writer Hunter S. Thompson had one, and wrote about terrorizing overenthusiastic Porsche drivers on the San Francisco highway system with its speed, handling and size. Word is, you can still get one, but they have to be custom ordered.
